Polzeath is located just north of the town of Padstow and is a great place for a family to enjoy some rays of sunshine or paddle out into the fun sized waves and take a surf lesson. The beach has lifeguards during the summer months. The beach is beautiful with high cliffs curving round either end. Polzeath, is split into two parts – the old and the new, both overlooking a magnificent stretch of golden sand between Pentire Head to the north and Highcliff to the west. It was a favourite haunt of the late poet laureate, Sir John Betjeman and is celebrated in some of his verse. Polzeath is a haven for surfers and beach lovers alike.
